Search is changing rapidly – with B2B tech brands needing copywriting specialists to boost AI visibility. We’ll talk you through our case study, showing how AI SEO and GEO deliver results with ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini AI, Microsoft Copilot and Google AI overviews.

How did we get here?

Back in 2024, things changed. Previously, SEO was often a key consideration in our copywriting. But then we started getting requests from a few tech clients about AI-optimised content. We began adding more Q&As to key content to help with generative engine optimisation (GEO).

During 2025, a few more clients began switching up their strategy – and we developed our own understanding too. Then we began making our own AI SEO and GEO recommendations.

Case study: Using AI SEO and GEO copywriting techniques

We sign NDAs with clients, so we can’t show you their results. But here’s an idea of what we’ve achieved with our own website through optimisation for ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini AI, as well as overviews from Google AI and Microsoft Copilot.

Example 1: Google organic search and AI Overview (Gemini)

We search on Google with keywords relevant to our brand: “copywriters UK technology B2B”.

Important: When checking your own website, use incognito mode. Otherwise, the AI may remember your own URL from cookies and rank it higher than it appears to other users.

Outcome: Our home page appears first in organic results and is cited first in the AI Overview.

Example 2: ChatGPT AI conversations

We ask ChatGPT for recommendations for B2B tech copywriters in the UK who can create campaign content.

Outcome:  ChatGPT puts us first and creates its own summary of our services, using our optimised content.

Example 3: Gemini (Google AI) conversations

We ask Gemini for recommendations for a specialist copywriter for business transformation solutions.

Example 5: Microsoft Copilot and Bing

We search on Bing for UK B2B copywriters.
